    sensor/limpmode

Ok, have a question on how the sensors on the boats work. I broke off one of the prongs on a sensor going into the cooling hose for my transmission. A new one is on the way. Will this cause my boat to go into limp mode, or will the engine alarm just go off? I've run the engine with the sensor disconnected, but I haven't had it in gear as it is on the trailer. I'm just curious how all these little sensors work.

    Thanks

If you have a mercruiser engine with the ECU555 computer. Then there is a long list of thigs that will cause the computer to reduce power. My IAC motor causes a 10% power reduction, and you can really feel the difference. I need to get that manual. THe mercruiser dealer would NOT sell it to me. DOPEY.
