    Replacing the Bilge on 23v

A buddy of mine bought a 2000 23v this season, it had about 120 hrs on it. After stabbing a couple of wakes, we discovered his bilge pump wasn't working. We traced all the wiring and everything looks good there, so we figure we'll just replace it. Problem: It's under the engine. It doesn't look like we can get to it unless we pull the motor. Anybody have any suggestions?

Should be able, on most I thing, to remove the panels on each side of the engine which would give you better access to the bilge.

    Good luck

I have almost the same boat as you, except a little shorter. I ended up moving my bilge pump somewhere else.

To get to your bilge pump, remove the back seat cushions and you'll see to screws on the bottom of a fiberglass cover. Remove those. Then look inside the engine compartment along the back seat in the middle and you'll see two more bolts. Remove those and you'll be able to remove the fiberglass cover. This will give you access to your V-Drive, bilge pump, transducer and PerfectPass speed pickup (if you have PerfectPass). It's also great for finding anything you drop into your bilge and falls below the engine. Good luck!
