I noticed a vibration and cut the engine. when I did, the boat would not drive, but reved. The dealer told me to check and see if the bolts to the coupler had come loose.
they were off and the shaft was loose. However I could only find two bolts. The problem is that the bolts look like the were sheared. But they are sheared at the exact same place. Not only that, but the bolts looked slightly chewed on.
I can't tell, but if they are sheared, half the bolt must still be in the coupler which is a big problem.
Has anyone seen this? Does it make sense that the bolt would actually shear. I could see if they cut the bolts to fit which is completely ghetto. This is a 2005 22V Demo boat with only 40 hours
Has anyone heard of this type of problem with the 22V
Thanks,
Chris
