I have a '00 21V with a 350 mag, MPI 315hp. The day I bought it I had problems with a "computer" that controlls the accessories because the guy I bought it from tried to jump start it. Instead of trying to find something to substitute for this system I put another one in. It's worked fine for two seasons. This season I put the boat in the water, it started a little hard and immediately after starting all of the lights for the accessory switches flashed several times, then stopped. All gauges read fine so I continued out after running for about 30 minutes I shut the boat down for a few minutes and when I tried to restart it it would not. The engine turns over fine but will not fire, the lights on the accessory pannel flash. After several attempts I don't smell any gas at all - the tank is full. I've checked the fuses thinking it could be the injector fuse, but they're all good. Any ideas???

We have the same boat as yours. We got her last Oct. with 41 hours on it and took it out twice last fall. I've been going thru all the wiring, checking for loose connections, soldering every crimp connector I can easily get to and tying down every wire that can move. When you say the "accessory switches" I assume you mean the panel that includes the bilge pump switch. Does the bilge pump work with the switch and it's just the light that does not work? Do you get 12.5v at the + terminal on the coil when the ignition is ON? There are terminals on the accessory "computer", lower left corner that are marked "12v" & "ignition" (I think). Make sure those connections are tight and 12.5v is coming out. Since the gauges are working the 12v connection from the battery to the ignition is OK, but double check all the connections are tight. There may be just enough getting thru to run the gauges, but not fire the engine. I think when the engine is cranking the voltage will drop to 9.5v or so, much lower and the engine control computer will not fire. I'll check that voltage on ours tomorrow.

Thank you very much for the input. I checked the voltage and everything seemed to be ok so I followed your lead and just started tracing wires and I found my problem after about 3 hours... seems I didn't connect a sensor wire very well last fall. It was for the sensor in the thermostat housing which makes perfect sense now. The computer couldn't tell what the temperature of the engine was to determine how much fuel to give the injectors so it didn't give them any! It runs like a champ once again! You'll love the boat, it's been great for my family and the wake is perfect for just about anything.

May want to start a new thread about this! Others may be thinking you are responding to this thread that is about "not starting"
Posting some pics to show what is loose will help.
