I was considering replacing spark plugs and plug wires with new stuff and doing a little pre summer tune up. Has anyone tried the Bosch Platnuim +4 in there tige? How about 8.8mm Accell wires? What else should I do?

Use knuckles on the wrench or get a socket with knuckles.
Sometimes it is difficult to reach plugs. I have been in places where you could not move the wrench and required an air wrench to get the plugs out. You also had to use an extension and insert the plug socket, then the extension, then the wrench. That is unless you wanted to remove the engine first.
And there was a version of a 197? mustang that required that you cut a hole in the floor to get to the rear plug. Sometimes it ain't easy.
Also watch the foam insert in the socket. Don't let that puppy stay on the plug. Use some dielectric grease on the plug before you insert the plug into the socket. Then use dielectric grease on the plug boot. It will go on easier, stay more water resitant, and come off easier when it is time to change plugs again.Ray Thompson
