Last two summers I have had issues with small amount of leakage at the oil filter. Was using a pcm replacement but last week I changed it out with a wix brand. Tried it and got same results. I made sure the surface was wiped clean prior to installing, applied oil to gasket prior to installing. And of course made sure old gasket was off prior to installing new replacements. The oil builds up around the lip and will drip on the alternator. I’m running rotella 15w40. This has got me stumped, any advice or insight on this greatly appreciated in advance. I was tightening by hand and then 1/4 turn past snug, recently I purchased a oil filter wrench and tried to tighten it past what I normally was doing. Am I just overtightening it all together??????
