Where does the solenoid for the electric choke get its signal? For whatever reason, mine does not appear to be working. I have had to manually close it off the last 2 times I have started the engine. I have a 1997 Marine Power 5.7 with a Holley 4BBL electric choke. Once the engine is running, the choke solenoid appears to be working correctly, but before it runs, it doesn't appear to have any input. I have not checked it with a multimeter yet to be sure, but there is no resistance at all.
Last time on the water (2 weekends) I had to get jumped b/c I drained the battery after failed starts. Holding the choke closed, the engine fired right up.
