General suggested maintenance

Hello,
I just picked up a 2000 21i, and its my first boat. Wondering what you might suggest as far as general maint intervals for oil change, belts, alternator, spark plugs, alt, battery, etc.

Also I like to do this type of work myself, any suggested service manuals or similar, or perhaps web how-to writeups.

Any suggestions would be great!

goto www.fortesonline.com for some service info. if you D.I.Y i would get an oil change bucket with a suction pump on it they makes things faster and less mess. you can suck the eng. oil nd trans. oil out with it. we have a maint. section and check out some of our dos and donts for some helpful hints. let me know if you have anymore ?? and enjoy your tige.

My dealer recommends a fluid change (transmission, oil, V-drive) every 100 hours or 12 months. Plugs and wires every 400 hours. Inspected every 100 hours or so.
