    trany linkage adjustment

I just bought a '97 2150. I want to take some of the slop out of the shift linkage. It seems to take too long to engage off of neutral. do you adjust at the transmission or at the shift / trottle lever? the boat has a velvet drive tranny.

The "slop" is probably normal for those years. Mine has a bit of throw before it engages too. It can be ajusted at the trans end of the linkage cable....mine can anyway.

      Welcome to the site!

I can't help you on your shift linkage.

I also have a 97 2150. Welcome to the club.

      Post some pics!
