    Exhaust route issues

    I'm in need of help.
    I have a 1997 tige pre2200wt v drive , I'm in the process of building a mercruiser mag mpi
And I've ran into a clearance issue. The risers pointing towards the pulleys hit the oil filter and the alternator. Can I face the risers the other direction some how?

Yes, a lot of guys flip their risers.

Pull the 4 bolts out on each riser
    Clean the sealing surface
Apply a generous amount of new sealant (not sure if there is a gasket in there or not someone who has first hand knowledge could verify)
    Flip the riser around
When I did mine on my old boat it was 3" exhaust hose (IIRC)
Should be able to run the hoses under the motor and back to the exits.
My advice-Dump the worm gear hose clamps and spend a little extra for T-Clamps. They give way better pressure and don't pinch the hose when it gets hot.

Good Luck-I will be crossing this bridge in a few years when I remove my mufflers. Post Pics of your install if you don't mind!!
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"
