The transmission cooler is immediately downstream from the pressure side of the pump. Check the inlet for debris that could be blocking it. Its also possible you reversed the suction and pressure side hoses on the pump, seen it many times before. Use some liquid soap on the impeller, pouring it in from the back with the pump removed will save time, and spin the pulley by hand to lube the whole housing. Verify all of the above and let us know.
