Blower Access on 2000 Tige 21v

Hi, just purchased a pretty clean 500 hr Tige 21v. It has some TLC issues, but here are the primary ones I am dealing with.

1)The trailer has hydraulic brakes activated by the master in the hitch. I was told the slave cylinders are bad so have a pair of new to install. How the heck do you bleed the lines after the job is done?

2)Just turned on the blower and it sounds like a train wreck! Probably the blower came off the shaft or loose. How do you get at it? I am assuming taking off the hose will reveal next steps?

Thanks guys... new (to me) Tige owner.

Hi Garzee. Brake bleeding probably best pressure bleed, where you pump fluid from the cylinder up and out the master cylinder. Used an oil can and some plastic tube onto the bleed nipple.
I managed to bleed our brakes with no equipment just by chocking trailer and reversing tow vechile to presurise. Then release bleed nipple and tighten. Top up fluid as required then car forward again and repeat. Not ideal, but we wanted to ski.
Don't know where the blower is hidden sorry.

From what I remember there is a metal clip on the underneath side of the coupler. You'll have to check a manual online to verify the procedures though. No need to hook the vehicle up... It can be done manually if you have the setup like me. Where did you get the slave cylinders? Part number? I need to do the same. I have a new master and brake lines. Just need to finish the project.

The manual, and the way I do it, has you use a long flat head screw driver from underside of trailer tounge to stroke the shaft of the master cylinder and add fluid as the level goes down. At the same time as you stroke the cylinder another person releases the pressure at the brake bleed screw. Stroke and release !!! What I did not know but found out is that if you can push your tounge in by leaning on it hard there is a cylinder in the tounge that is bad. I don't have a pressure bleeder or any special tools.

The blower is just behind the engine directly across from the alternator mounted on the wall. Just follow the flex ducting. The alternator is on the starboard side of the engine.

Thanks guys! Awesome information coming in from all angles. You are going to make my buying a used Tige much more enjoyable
as there is not much by way of owners manuals or specs to be found!
