I'm getting a small fluid leak on my TAPS actuator where it is attached to the transom (2008 RZ2 TAPS 2). It must be leaking where the hose attaches into the actuator. However, before I pull it apart, I was wondering what type of fluid is in the TAPS pump and how to check the level?

On my 2012 z3 its a Bennet trim tab system, not sure about the 2008 rz2. It takes any automatic transmission fluid. heres a video on youtube, there are other ones too.

Its a common problem, there are a few post on here already on how to fix, had the same issue on my 07 rz2. The ferris nut connecting the plastic tubing to the actuator needs to be tightened. Takes a couple minutes to fix.
