engine beeps and dies

2002/2003 21i 315 hp merc efi replaced PCM, all filters and boat still gives two beeps and stalls while riding which is extremely dangerous while doing inverts. I have had this problem for a year OH yeah and one of the fuel pumps-merc tech says it is our gas up here in Canada is so bad that the fuel pumps cannot keep up and I am getting a vapour lock-please help - I love my boat but since my son is a competetive wakeboarder doing many inverts this dying while in the air is vary dangerous-Please help I am going nuts without a reliable boat.

Two beeps on a Merc engine will mean the that the engine has gone into gardian mode and the code can be read with a ddt to find the problem.

I had this problem with mine when i first got it.I could chug along just fine but when i opened it up it would launch then beep beep and just drop dead in the water.It happened every time and seens i had just brought the very expensive boat i was none to happy.So i kicked up a stink about it and Mercuiser HQ sent there top man down to sort it out.So i was well happy but this is what i got

1.Fuel pump: so that was changed with delays for posting
2.secondry fuel pump: so that was changed with delays for posting
3.Intercooler:changed with more delays
4.some electrical wiring:changed and guess what yes more delays
5.Its the bilge not taking that last inch of water out so thats spraying around: changed with yet more delays.

By this time i was pulling my hair outand to tell you the truth iwas regretting not buying a mastercraft ! After all the summer by now was 3/4 of the way through and i hadnt had a single ride.Not even bringing up the cost !
They tried to say it was the fuel quality but this is bollocks.Are you telling me that places like Canada and the U.K have substandard fuel ? That cant be right and i looked into it and its all the same octane everywhere.So thats just them trying to blag you.I mean are they really saying that all the Rolls and ferraris here run on tractor fuel.Yea right.

By this time Mercuisers top man had made the 250 round trip 5 times basically lost interest and gave up.They said the little local dealer could sort it out and send them the bill.Not really what i wanted to hear after all whos better than the top man right.Anyway 3 weeks later the little fella found out what it was
It was one of the pins for the computer plug had snapped of on the hole ! It made a conection most of the time until it was shaked when going flat out.Now the computer can tell you many things but it cant tell you that one little pin in its own lead is busted.

So when they cant find out what it is MAKE them check this first.Otherwise it can cost you a WHOLE LOT OF MONEY ! It sounds stupid but trust me i lost a whole summer.

So far after fixing connection all seems to be running better, would you happen to know where this plug is located should I encounter more problems?

Sorry mate i dont.Its one of the computer ones ,i think the one with all the spikes ha ha dont ask me i just ride.Im seeing the mechanic in a couple of days if i remember i'll ask him.
