    oil change in 2004 21i 350 vortech

I'm getting ready to change the oil in my boat for the first time and was told there is a hose, roughly 1/2" dia, that is used for draining the oil. I cannot find this hose anywhere!! Is there a hose? If not, what do I use to drain the oil? If so, where does this hose connect to? Thanks!

    My email address is: eseffens@adelphia.net

Feel free to use this address

Here is a picture of where mine is located. Mine is not a 04, but maybe it will help.

That is the Port side if the engine.

      Hi TeamAllen,

You know I don't even have what you're showing. I've looked everywhere in the compartment and from what I see, I don't have it. Bummed actually.. The manual is terrible in regards to this. I really need to know where the tubes attached on the engine itself. Can you tell me where yours is connected?? That might help a little. Thanks man!!

on the side near bottom of oil pan not sure wich side. where a drain plug on a car would normally be that hose he has pictured will be coming of oil pan follow that hose until you see that fitting in the pic (good pic by the way) then you will have to have a pump designed for sucking oil or rout the hose out your drain hole to underside of boat and let it gravity drain into a pan. if you go with gravity it will take awhile best bet just let it go in pan and come back in few hours to make sure it is all out. also you can run engine on flushing unit for 5-10 minutes prior to help thin the oil out it will speed up process. that hose is there its just tucked up out of way somewhere keep looking you will find it. look all around the bottom of oil pan until you find a hose coming out of it. they dont always have the ring clamp (the thing on end that looks like a shower cutain ring) just find hose coming out of oil pan.

It was behind the exhaust on the right side of the motor included with a bundle of hoses. I should have taken a picture of it but this is all I have. It would have been nice to have that one line color coded. In addition, where this information is indicated in the manual. Maybe something Tige could improve on. :-) Do love my boat however. Wouldn't have anything other than a Tige.
