Tige 20V - year 2005

Hi

I have just bought a used Tige 20V , year 2004 with Marine Power 340 HP engine . The boat comes from UK , and have only done 60 hrs.

Have now have two trips im my new boat. But same happenes , it runs perfect until it suddenly stops. Then I can start it again , but in runs very unsteady. Revs up and down - and then stops again .It can hardly run in idle - and stops again. First trip it ran perfect for 1/2 hour before problem , second trip 1 hour.

When I takes the boat home and connect to waterhose - it start and runs perfect again.

Please help ?

Are you getting any alarms? There is a long list of things it could be, what do you mean unsteady, rough, misfire, backfire, banging?

Here is a few things to start:
1. Distributor cap calcium deposits
2. Fowled spark plug
3. Battery connections
4. Broken/disconnected fuel injector port
5. Low pressure fuel pump

Let us know I am sure more will chime in

I will today check the list above today.

Byt why is problem occuring after some perfect running time - is it heat , moisture or fuel problem ?

By unsteady I mean , runs up in RPM than slows down and backfires ( sounds like blowing back)
