    Another oil pressure question!

    Hey guys/ ladies

I have posted on here before about my oil pressure issues and had some good advice form all (thanks)

To refresh about my issue, I have good oil pressure on my 2008 MP 340 hp until I load up and ride, then after 10 minutes of riding the pressure at idle drops to 8-10 PSI and the alarm sounds, it slowly pics back up to 10-15 and the alarm stops, when I stop and empty the ballast and idle back to the boat ramp the pressure holds good at about 20 PSI and no alarms sound.

I keep my engine serviced and regularly change the oil myself at about 25 hr intervals with the recommended grade out of the MP manual, I have plumbed in a mechanical gauge and it confirms the dash oil gauge!

My next question about my problem is this.
After finding more posts on this issue I have checked and found air bubbles in the oil on the dip stick, as some one pointed out, this is frothing of the oil caused from over filling the oil, I'm pretty sure I'm filling it up correct however I have now found out on another post pointing out that MP had recalls because the dipstick or dipstick tube was the wrong length.
How do I tell if mine is the correct length?
If this is the problem it would make a lot of sense as the oil is only good until it froths up and I loose pressure?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

Foaming from overfilling is a possibility. Contact Marine Power for the details on the dipstick recall. That info was posted here at own time, but may not be able to find it since the site crash a couple years ago. Two questions......when changing the oil, how much are you drawing out? And when refilling, how much are you putting back in?

I'm not sure on how much I'm taking out but I leave it to drain for two days and I'm going on the dip stick when I fill it up.
When the engine is cold where should level show on the dipstick?

Same as warm. Now higher than the full mark and higher than the add mark. BUT, if you have the incorrect dipstick tube, its all out the window.

I guess I'll have to give MP a call to figure it out.
          Thanks for the advise
