Thanks, doesn't help me out with the specs though.

The guy is asking a bit more than I'm willing to pay at the moment, and it doesn't have a tower (kinda necessary for us since we hydrofoil) so I'll pass on it for the moment.

How does this not help you out? You answered your own question when you said the guy said it was a 350 upgraded from the stock carb. If its a 350 is a standard Mercrusier Magnum (roughly 265HP) not a Vortec 307. Now what he put on it as an upgrade would be the question. Did he swap the stock 2 barrel carb out for a 4 barrel, did he upgrade to EFI.

Course if hes asking to much $ for it then guess it doesnt really matter. Towers are pretty easy to add if the boat is priced correctly from the beginning.

You could always get ahold of Marine Power if the specs were that important?
How much is he asking for it?

$10k with nearly 1000 hours on the boat.

Depending on the condition of the boat $10s really not far off even with 1000 hrs if the condition of everything checks out and ahs a good trailer under it. Now if the hull is rough, interior needs work or mechanical needs work then $10 would be way too much.

That's around 60 hours a year of use. Not too much and not too little. I agree with Ruger. It the condition of the boat is good the price is reasonable. If 10K is out of your budget than I can understand why you need to move on, but I wouldn't let those hours scare you off.

Not to bump an old thread, but it may be semi-relevant. My '01 23V has the Tigé Vortec 307. It's a Marine Power 350ci with a carb, vortec heads and intake, 307hp.

Looks like it started in '97 as the SkiPac. http://www.waterskimag.com/news/2001...-a-power-play/

                  MARINE POWER

A driving force in the inboard commercial boat and fishing industry since the 1950s, Louisiana-based Marine Power appeared in our 1997 boat tests with an EFI GM 350-cid V-8 in our American Skier test boat. So look out, the big three inboard manufacturers have some competition. Sources at Marine Power also confirm that the company will be fielding a specialty ski engine in select 1997 Tigi models. The Marine Power SkiPac is a carbureted GM Vortec 350-cid small-block V-8. With a 9.4:1 compression ratio, the SkiPac produces an impressive 307 hp without the added complexity – or expense – of EFI
