I have a 2003 24v and it is overheating at high speed at 2000RPM or lower there is no issue. So i replaced the impeller first that did not work. Then i went through the pick up and all the lines to make sure there was no blockage and there were none. Then i took the thermostat out to see if that was it and no luck. Any help would be great.

last week my boat begin to overheat as well. first thing I thought was I sucked up some debris because our lake is really dirty due to a lot of rain. I have a strainer and when I checked it it showed clean so I assumed that it must be an impeller. Replaced the impeller although the old one looked fine and I still had the issue. Dug a little deeper and pulled the line from the strainer to the transmission cooler where I found it to be completely clogged. How the strainer could have been clean when it was up stream of the cooler is beyond me. If you haven't pulled the line and stuck your finger inside the cooler to check for debris you may want to try that. Once I back flushed the cooler everything is back to normal.
