    Raw Water Intake - Engine

so... maybe I'm incredibly tired & not thinking straight right now, but I've got a fake-a-lake hooked up to the intake & nothing's coming out of the exhaust. Am I doing something wrong? I don't have the parts or the time to go get an inline Perko, so I've gotta make do so I can trace this whine in the speakers.

Did you run the engine or just wait for water to exit the exhaust? You need to fire the engine up, then you should see water within about 10 seconds.

If the whine is white, it should not stain the speakers. if its red, then it will obviously stain. Club soda should get the whine out.

J/K! Lets talk about the whine. Describe it. Give me a complete run down on all the audio gear. What mods have been done before noticing the whine?

Funny Mike. I've got another thread on the engine noise in the speakers, which you've already commented on, but I haven't addressed anything. I have to have the boat running to test if I got it traced down anyway.

I finished installing my cleats today & will mess with the whine tomorrow night, with a BL. No wine for me, red or white

on the fake a lake.. mine is odd as well.. but it like builds up water in system and then blows out a bunch at a time... but it can take a few seconds for it to build up the first time.. then it seems to be at pretty regular intervals.

I had mine on there for a minute + & nothing came out. That's why I was starting to second guess myself. I'm used to my old I/O where it would come out of the sterndrive when hooked up.
