Well, I'm on to my next issue with my boat. Normally my idle is around 550-600 rpms. When you put the boat in gear and drive around and put it back in neutral, it goes up to about 1100 rpm's. I've figured out that if I put it in reverse and apply more throttle, it will back the rpm's down and back to where they should be. I can then put it in neutral and it will idle where it should. Thinking it could be the cable going bad, but also have a thought that it has something to do with the linkage on the transmission. Also, I am only able to get about 3000 rpm's at WOT when in gear, but in neutral, I can get the 48-5200 rpm's that is the max WOT stated on the engine cover. I just changed props from the 14x18.5 stainless to a 14.25x14.5. That def helped with the power but I still think it doesn't have the power that it should. My WOT rpm's with both props is right at 3000 when in gear. I have a feeling I need a new fuel pump as I'm getting a pop/backfire when pulling a rider out of the water at near WOT. If I ease into it, it doesn't seem to do it. It will also do it when pulling a rider and turning, so it seems to be when the engine is under a pretty decent load. Anybody know a good place to get a fuel pump for the 330hp black scorpion?

The back of the throttle assembly has adjusters for the cables. I would lube that up first then replace the cables if necessary. Basically, the throttle assembly has levers and adjusters that will shift the transmission and apply throttle all in a simultaneous movement. It's hard to explain how it works, so I would take a look at that. The cables may just be out of adjustment. After that, I bet a cable is getting sticky and needs to be lubed or replaced.

I think I got the throttle cable figured out. Where the metal part of the cable attaches to the bracket wasn't in right. Someone stuck it around the pieces of rubber. Now if I can just figure out my wot issue I'll be good. I pulled my intake off today and checked the screens on the injectors. A few of them had some very small debris in them, but nothing that I think would hurt my performance. Anybody know a good place to get a fuel pump for these things? I'm afraid that's what I need. Here's a picture of the throttle cable I'm talking about. uploadfromtaptalk1372736176466.jpg
