Had boat out last weekend and it ran great for about 2 hours. I stopped to switch riders, boat started and I idled away to take up slack in the line and when I hit the throttle the boat stalled. I couldn't get it to restart it would crank over fine and sound like it was going to start, but then it would just continue to crank. I got towed back to the launch and trailered the boat home. When I got home the boat still wouldn't start. The next day I checked it for spark and it seemed good - still no start. Next day borrowed a fuel pressure gauge hooked it up and boat fired right up, fuel pressure stayed steady at 49psi, and motor ran great. Nervous about taking it back on the water, but it seems to be running good. Wondering if anyone might have any insight as to what might have caused this problem.

2006 20v starting problem

I have a 2006 20v and had similar issues. If I could get it to start it would run great but was almost impossible to get started. My problem was the low pressure fuel pump. I let the shop take care of that for me. The part was expensive. According to my mechanic the low pressure should be about 7. Mine was at 3. Hope this helps.
