Fuel smell

When boat is in idle I can smell fuel. There is none leaking out of vent or any in water. Any suggestions?

More info please: when you smell fuel, are you downwind of the exhaust? Anything in the bilge? Do you smell raw fuel or engine exhaust????

Smell is raw fuel smell downwind of exhaust. Not the " exhaust smell". Nothing in bilge. Didn't affect fuel efficiency.

When the fuel tank vent check valve fails or is stuck open it's usually the culprit. Our big boat recently had the same issue even though the tank wasn't even half full.

Ran boat this weekend and did not notice the smell. I filled up with different gas. Before, that was the first tank all year, so I think it was partially do to old gas.
