I have a 2007 rz2 with closed loop cooling, 6.0 liter. Seems hot to me. Runs 175-195. What is the normal range? Reason I ask is it slowly pumps out the coolant into the overflow tank and does not draw it back into the heat exchanger. So should I be changing the impeller? Thermostat or heat exchanger cap? Ideas? On a side, I occasionally get a vapour lock in the gas on extreme hot weather days and thought that it may be a by product of the heat in the engine compartment?

For what its worth I had a 2007 RZ2 with the Marine Power 5.7L 360HP HT and it ran around 155. On very hot days it would occasionally reach 160 but go back down once we got moving. That was with a raw water intake so that may not help.
Might be worth it to change the impeller and see if you have any fragments torn off that are blocking anything. -
