    Water In exhaust manifold

So I'm replacing the impeller on my 2004 21i and the old impeller was completely disintegrated. I removed the hoses going to the raw water pump and found pieces of the old impeller. I then removed the thermostat housing to flush any pieces of the old impeller that may have been in the engine. Not thinking, I decided to flush one of the hoses going to the exhaust manifold, thinking the water will just go out the exhaust. But since the engine was obviously not running, is it possible to for the water to go into one of the cylinders thru the exhaust manifold?? I hope I didn't just turn easy maintenance into a nightmare.
I'm new to tigeowners and new to working on boats please help!

Engine is GM 5.7L Vortec 335HP

U should be fine. There is a flap on there to keep that from happening

Just incase, just remove your plugs and crank the engine over. If water does come out of the spark plug holes, just spray some WD in there. crank the engine over again and reinstall the plugs.

I wasn't thinking, and had our friend spray a hot water, pressure washer up the exhaust outlets to clean any mussels that might have been there. It ended up being fine. If you look at the end of the manifold risers. There is a gap between exhaust exit and water exit. It would be pretty hard to get anything more than water mist in the exhaust port.
