    Another flax install question

I am trying to install flax in my 1999 22i. Mine has the plastic nuts. When I took it apart the nuts were tight to each other with all the thread used. I took it apart and found about one wrap of flax. There are three washers between the nuts. First the outer nut then a plastic washer. Then there is a metal washer and a final plastic washer. I installed two rings of flax between the metal washer and the lower plastic washer. Is this the correct sequence? The two plastic nuts are now several threads apart. But it tightened up. I did install the two rings of flax with the gaps 90 degrees apart. I have attempted to show picture of the original flax. (did I get all the original flax out?) I assumed I did when I saw the last lower plastic washer. I also am have a picture of the amount of threads left after my install. Any help will be appreciated.

I do not think my pictures were included. I am still learning how to get that to work. Sorry

You do not want to make it very tight, the seal will need to drip one drip of water every ten seconds.
