    350 MPI engine rebuild

I bought a 2000 20i with 750 hours. I knew it was taking on gas in oil due to valve or pison/ring problem. I am having the lower end rebuilt (bored , new pistons, rings, mains)and the mechanic wants to leave the original valves (unless one or more are bad), etc in the upper end. THe boat runs great even on 7 cylinders. There is no sludge and it looks like oil has been changed regularly. Should I have him put new valves and other upper end parts in or just not worry about it?

    hey bud,

I am not that mechanically inclined, but if you are gonna have all that work done you might as well as have it done completely...that way the rebuilder can totally warranty the work, and you wont have to worry about something else going wrong....i would do it.....
