    Taps

as a new Tige' owner, 1998 Pre 2100 .I have a question or two. The Taps where not moving due to low fluid. After filling the tank I got some movement, but not much. What should I expect to see for the range of motion. Note: the indicator is not working. A warning beep is going off. I have good oil presure, trans fluid, and temp is 160. what am I missing.

    Welcome to the site.

The warning buzzer could a few things other then what you see on the gauges. One that comes to mind is the Knock sensor. There may also be a water pressure/flow sensor on your model as well.

The TAPS motor may need to be cycled a few times to purge the air before full range is restored. Run it then recheck the level. if it drops a little again, then its probably purging air.

Total range of motion is not but a few inches. At the fully extended position, the plate may be level with hull or slightly below it. Fully retracted would be above the plane of the hull.
