Yes, it should be automatic, but make take a couple of inches of water at the pump to activate the float.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

that is a lot of water!! do you know how it got in there, I moved my primary pump and changed it for the electronic automatic, no float, it just blips on for half a second every few minutes and if theres water pressure it will keep running, also moved it from back of the boat, and installed the old float pump on automatic only in the back corner so it picks up when surfing.
I also carry a loose pump wired with crocodile clips, plus have a tsunami pump on board for ballast but great back up!!
Very paranoid though as I had a boat sink when I was 18 !

I'm planning on having the dealer check mine at winterization. I took on a ton of water in the bilge a few trips ago. think it was from a ballast connection not right. started the engine the next morning(camping) and it didn't sound right. water in the bilge was halfway up the vdrive. bilge ran for almost 20 minutes at a pretty strong force. I run it manually once or twice an hour now as I'm kind of paranoid. I don't think the float is working.2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17

I open up my bilge drain after every trip to see how much water I've got, usually just a trickle from the cooler drain but sometimes a little more if someone else was driving and the took a little water over the bow. It never takes more than 5 min to drain, I keep an eye on it in case I develop a leak somewhere such as the packing or a thru hull or a ballast tank or a cooling hose from the engine or riser, so many bad ways to get water in the bilge.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

We have just been notified by Tige that there is a diode issue with the bilge pump wiring.
*
We will need the boat to do the job.* Let me know what your thoughts are on timing.

It has come to our attention the bilge pump is getting feedback through the wire coming from the power module and blowing the fuse. We need to add a diode at the power module to prevent this from happening along with moving the existing inline fuse holders to make them service friendly. This needs to be done on every boat with a touch screen from 2010 to present.
