Flax rope packing

Would anyone here know were I could find a write-up on how to change out the flax packing on a 1993 Tige 2000SLM

All you do is, unscrew the brass or plastic nut that is on the shaft where it exits the hull. Pull all old packing out and then wrap new packing around shaft and screw back together. With boat in the water you should have 1 drip about every ten seconds coming out from the bushing. Any less water and the packing will burn too fast and not last very long.

Thanks! I thought there was something more complicated to it than that.
