prop burn?

After a week at Lake Norris with the boat in the water, the prop (Acme 1235) looks discolored along the blade edge and in blotches in the cup. Is this some sort of prop burn? Or just a consequence of being in the water for a week.



The above coloration has never been present for the several seasons I have had this prop.

The last week at Norris was the first time in a long time I noticed any cavitation. It does not seem like an elevation difference between MO/IL and TN could make much difference. I guess we were loaded up with people more than I thought.

I am guessing it is cavitation associated.

I have noticed this also....is this normal?
