      wow, were I bought my boat from is 75 bucks, and that's if I pull it. Gonna have to call around.

        ok, so if use a prop puller to pull it off, how to I put it back on, a rubber mallot? BUt don't want to push the shaft too far forward.

          got no clue man they did it for me. i wouldn't go to the dealer to get it done though check around with diff. boat places, mainly repair maintence places, dealer is gonna jack the price.

            I think the nut pushes it back on for you. I may be wrong though.

              Yeah, I bet that is what the nut does. I'll just use my impact wrench, and a rubber mallot. Might use a slide hammer to pull it off, or a c-clamp, since that's all the prop pullers are. Anyway, I gotta get some sleep, then gonna go pull the prop. Later all

                prop hell

                That prop is totally fixable. We ride mainly on Lake Powell and the water levels are so low that a "dinged" prop is more or less expected. We always carry a spare prop because as you found out, a damaged prop can bring the party to a screaming halt. You will need the prop puller kit that should come with a small brass hammer and an extra nut plus coter pin.
                The whole prop changing operation takes less than 30 minutes.

                  I'd love to have a copy of those directions. I just banged it off with a rubber mallot. I'll buy a prop puller for next time. I'm off to find someone to have it fixed now

                    got the prop fixed for 75 bucks, (I drive a hard bargin Now to put it back on and get back on the water.

                          hey dom, our lake was real low the year before last and i got real good at a few things. 1. pulling the prop - i recommend the prop puller for this (pretty much the same as a harmonic puller as you noted but the rubber mallot method scares me a bit. 2. putting the prop back on - you guessed it, impact and the nut will drive it back on 3. temp fixes on props to minimize vibration - i carry a large plumbers wrench (as well as a spare prop) i got pretty good at fixing the type of dings and bends that you have with a plumbers wrench so that there was no vibration. if i could fix it, it would allow me to wait to change the prop until i got home. if not it was the old "in the water" change, which w/o the impact gun will tire you out a bit. as far as props, i can say that my 3 blade gave me better perfromance both top and bottom end but that also may be do to the altitude. good luck with your repaired prop! ps - the mechanic at my dealer can do them w/o sending them out, the guy is awesome! he knows we are seruous riders and has never had my ride more than 24 hours no matter what the issue is. my dealer rocks!

                                WWS - the best dealer around, period no matter what brand of boat. Thankfuly they are a Tige dealer. 303.430.0202 they'll treat you well for sure. Tell them I said "hi" when you talk to them. Scott is the mechanic and is leaving for vacation today and will be out all next week, if you need something immediately, I have a spare prop off my old 22i you could borrow or Prop Dr's does good work too.
