steering cable grease

I am replacing my steering cable and have read only one person putting grease inside the sleeve near the rudder. What has everyone else done?

I just replaced mine in my 22i no grease required.

Thanks. Went without and no more two arm turning. Works great.

I read the little instruction pack that came with my cable and it says do not add any grease to the cable. It's pre-lubed and sealed from their factory and they say mixing additional grease could lead to pre-mature wear and failure.
