Took my 2000 21i out today and after 30 minutes of good riding it just cut off like I said it did before on the last post. I could smell gas, no smoke, temp okay. It will kind of putter a little before it cuts all the way off and then I have to wait 20 min before I can drive it another 5 min. If I let it sit all night it will be fine the next day for another 30 min then do it again. I have replaced Engine coolant Sensor, Manifold Intake Sensor and Water Temp Sender. I think it has something to do with the fuel??? I checked to make sure the fuel tank hose vent was not clogged with anything. It was fine from what I can see. This boat was sitting for a while before I bought it. Dealer said they replaced Fuel Pump, all new injectors, and computer. Anyone have any ideas before I take it to a Tige dealer on Monday. Thanks!

I have a 1999 PRE2002 with a carbed 260 hp engine which I believe is the base engine. If I don't run the blower ALL THE TIME, it will often do the same thing yours is doing. With mine, the heat build-up causes an issue with the fuel so running the blower helps disipate the heat - I think someone called it vapor lock. Try running a search for that thread.
By the way, I believe there is a second pump that can be added on the fuel injected boats which you'll see that in the threads.
Good luck.

If it is some type of vapor lock, here are some basic remedies. Use a new fuel filter/ water separator. I think the reason we are seeing more problems like this is related to the increased ethanol in the gas. Use Marine Sta-bil ethanol treatment in all fuel fill ups. Run the fan all the time to keep heat down in the engine compartment. Lastly, I let it idle down after pulling a rider to allow the engine to cool down before shutting it off.

also might check engine oil pressure sensor cause it can turn your fuel pump on and off. I was at the lake with the whole fam and had this problem, bad sensor, the guys at a local boat shop told me to jumper the two wires, a purple and yellow and a all purple wire I think, it started after the jumper was installed when I returned home I changed the sensor and all was good.

It's a temp related issue and since those engines don't have limp mode or shutdown relays, I'm wondering about the ignition sensor. Is it original? If not, change it and try. The original sensors were not potted and when the solder cracks between the terminal posts it causes all kinds of symptoms including loss of spark which would smell like gas because of the unburned fuel. Let us know.Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

My vote is for vapour lock from hot fuel. (See my post in this thread)
