My boat will show its over heating. If I'm going along 25-28 mph i have no issues what so ever. The boat never shows to get above 160-180. If i get up above those speeds the temp will climb and the temp alarm will go off.. I can put the boat in neutral kill it and start it right back up and the temp will be down.. I thought maybe thermostat but I'm not really leaning that way anymore. I'm thinking sensor?

When was the last time you changed your impeller? There could be pieces of it still in there if you pulled out a bad on or if there is a bad on in there. -
The dealership supposedly changed it when I bought the boat from them. I believe they did change it because they gave me the one that was in it. It still looked good so I'm thinking it's not that.Comment

Do you have a raw water filter?
If not check the trans cooler for a partial clog, which could cause your issue based on your discription.Comment
