I have a 1997 21i. The starter is giving me troubles. When trying to start, starter gear does not engage with flywheel gear every time. It spins but does not engage. I have had starter rebuilt, it works better but not perfect. Any ideas?

No the selonoid was not replaced. Could this be the problem?Comment
