PCM RA157015 1:1 trans shift arm locked up.

    Hi everyone.

    First post!

I've got a Tige US-TIX0726PI809 (have no idea what model that makes it). Engine is 481190 (not sure what model engine that makes it) that is clearly a smallblock Chev.

Some jerk left the bilge full of salt water and now the shifter is frozen. I sprayed some penetrating oil on it and got it into gear once... but almost broke the shifter arm doing it.

I want to pull the shift arm out and the shif shaft out but I can't find an exploded diagram of the trans. It's a PCM RA157015 irm40-1s trans.

Anyone ever see this trans apart?

Welcome to the site. It might be helpful if you take some pictures of your boat and the engine so those of us that don't have access to look up numbers can try and help you. From the last two numbers of the HID it should be a '09. BTW, where are you located?

The PCM tranny is so new that the service manual has just recently become available for it. You can order it from SkiDim.com, it's a very nice and detailed manual with lots of detail.

If it was left in a salt water bath for a while, it could be ugly. Best of luck and report back!

I would start by removing the shift cable from the trans and then try the shifter again. If it is still stiff its the cable. If it moves easy then its the shift lever on the trans. MAke sense?
