BEST PROP FOR MY 2001 21V

HELLO,

I'M NEW TO THE FORUM AND THIS IS MY FIRST POST. I JUST BOUGHT A 2001 21V. THIS BOAT WILL BE USED AS A COMMERCIAL TOW BOAT FOR OUR WAKEBOARDING CLUB AND CHARTERS OFFERING PRIMARILY TUBING, KNEEBOARDING, WAKEBOARDING, AND SURFING. IT CURRENTLY HAS A FOUR BLADE PROP BUT IT FEELS WEAK OUT OF THE HOLE. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD WAKEBOARD/SURF PROP FOR THIS BOAT?

If the boat has a 1:1 final drive ration, id probably go with an ACME 653.

Chp is the guy that knows and can get them for you. Great guy to work with.

What prop is on it now? There should be a number around the shaft hole.

The other thing you can do is verify with ACME what prop based on the boat, engine, drivetrain, and what you want to do. Then get with chp.

I have a 2001 21v with the blue v drive 1.5:1 ratio. The boat I bought had a 381 (13.5 x 17.5) prop on it, which was sluggish out of the hole. Then I went to a 537 (13.5 x 16)which made a huge difference, great for boarding and sking. Now I am at a 1579 (13.5 x 14.25) which give's the best hole shot and is great for surfing when the boat is weighted. The top speed with the 1579 is 38-39mph at rev limiter, the 537 would do about 43mph.
