    Ignition coil

Hello, wondering if anyone has had power problems and how likely it might the ignition coil?

We've changed the distributor and rotor along with all new plugs and lead wires, and we still get no power above 8 mph under load? In neutral it runs fine.

never changed an ignition coil before but my buddy thinks that's what to try next?

    Any thoughts????

Check the knock sensor plugs as well as the sensors themselves to make sure they are tight.

        Oil level

Does it have the Tige EIDB dual battery setup?

Not sure what a knock sensor is nor what the battery set up system is, sorry. We have two batteries, but one is for the sound system (amp).
The boat idles fine, but as soon as we try to go at any throttle level, the boat just struggles and won't go over 2000 rpm or 8 mph. We had some backfire issues a few weeks ago and starling at idle. We changed the distributor and rotor and it idles fine now. Any thoughts on the ignition coil?

I dont think its a coil problem , I would look at fuel filter and check the wires on the low preasure pump they are known to come loose.
