    Overheating

So here is the deal. Boat overheats and the motor runs poor after launching and trolling out of the no wake zone. After cycling the engine several times with the same result I finally get it to run proper. The temp drops and the boat runs great all day. Pull the boat out to gas up, drop it back in and the cycle starts all over again. If I stay on the water overnight first thing in the morning the boat works well all day! Seems to happen only after I pull the boat out and back in? Any ideas? Just had the full 100 hr service done at the local dealer and a new impeller was installed.

    This is a 2006 24ve

If you have a new impeller, I would suggest changing the thermostat.

Thanks, I will replace both and see what happens... The one thing that confused me was that it only happened after I launch the boat, and every time I launched the boat and only after I launched the boat. Could there be debris above the impeller that fell down when the water dropped out after trailering the boat and then caused the impeller to stick, only to become free after I got enough water pressure above the impeller to push the debris up and out of the way of the impeller? I understand flushing the intake bellow the impeller by removing the intake hose... Is there a way to flush out the lines above the impeller?
