Power cuts out and in at cruising speed '03 22v

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last few times we have been out to the lake we have had this problem. We've replaced the fuel filter/water separator and it still persists.

Speeds from Idle to around 20 mph work fine almost 100% of the time. When we get up to around 30 mph or so or past 3000 or 3500 rpms the rpms cut out about 500 for a second then go back up. Then cut out lower and we slowly slow down with no movement of the throttle. The problem happens with perfect pass both on and off. It has happened at lower speeds when towing a rider as well.

I have read around the forum and not seen this exact problem. My next step would be low pressure fuel pump but I don't want to go out and buy that if I don't have to.

    Thanks

Engine? Most likely the Throttle Position Sensor. DTC will throw a code but have had the same issue on several boats including ours. Autozone carries the part but I don't have a part number for you. You can remove the old one and take it in and they're about $25.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
