V-drive casing cracked in half

Over the weekend, the V-drive cracked in half while I was driving down the lake at a consistent speed. We did not hit anything so I don't believe the issue is driver error. We have a 2001 21V and was wondering if anyone else had this same problem. Does anyone know a contact at Tige to discuss this issue with?

I would call Walter, they are the V-drive manf.
