IAC Valve Functioning Properly?

    It doesnt spring at all it is a screw, there is an electrical motor in side that turns the shaft and moves it in and out, if it was open and stuck there when you started the motor it would be racing fast idle.

      k.. well the idle seemed fine so I am just going to do the spark plugs and cap and rotor while im messing with the IAC... should the distributor be replaced too? those things aren't cheap...

        Unless the shaft is worn and its wobbling I wouldnt change it.

          cool.. save me a little coin there.. it is actually the only piece on my motor that looks like it is in good condition.. sadly..
