I had my boat serviced, I am sitting on the dock, and the plug directly above my 340HP engine was left undone. After I connected it at least the boat engine started rather than just cranking over. Now I noticed that one large square lup conected to the plugs on one side is together, but on the other side it is not....should it be? I assume so. A good pick of an engine would help.

Facing the back of the boat there should be a plug in the engine block on the left side that has a wire connected to it, the right side should have a regular brass plug. Other than that, give the band clamps a check on all of your intake and exhaust hoses, if they left one plug out who knows what else they may have left loose!
