EXcessive fuel use

Today we went out for around an hour and burned 8 gallons of fuel. Had two people in the boat and on 2500lbs of ballast. Boat ran good planned quick and pull at 22mph @ 3800 rpm. Could I have an injector that is stuck open? Any other ideas?

2500lbs of ballast. 8gph sounds about right.

I used to have a Yamaha Gp1200r that could easily burn 14gph.

we use about 6gph but 1100 lbs at 2800 rpm for reference. 07 22ve is the boat
