    Motor miss firing while turning

I have a 2003 22v riders edition. When loaded down it miss fires a couple times while in a hard turn. I have also notice my gas consumption is up and can smell gas out of exhaust while wake surfing. I have replaced plugs and rotor but cap looked fine. Any ideas? 350 mpi mag tow sport

are you sure your misfiring, and not creating cavitation while on hard turn. With cavitation you will feel a vibration and almost a slipping. This is air getting to the prop. I can see how that would feel like a misfire.

There are two sensors in the manifold that cause similar issues. The ECT measures cooling water temp and will overfuel an engine if it's reading false cold. The manifold air temp sensor will also contribute to fuel mixture problems if it too is out of whack.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

Could be but that doesn't explain my heavy fuel usage.

Would that also cause rpms higher that usual? Pulling at 22mph with 3k of ballast and 12 adults running 3900 rpm? To high?

Would that cause excessive fuel useage?

I see one sensor on the drivers side?

Is this something that has cropped up since the prob was reworked?

3K ballast and 12 peeps sounds like it might be time to stop the power-turns or get a custom prop.

Was happening before prop just getting worse on fuel consumption. Had the prop done at a local shop they screwed it up gave me my $200 back then sent to acme and they did an awesome job for $125 plus shipping. I though it was a rotor cap problem or wires but would that explain the gas smell out the exhaust. Someone mentioned waters sensors but I only have one? Only thing else I did was replace both batteries with hummer batteries (1900 cranking amps) which improved the stereo.

I just dont see why the engine would want to misfire during a turn. The engine doesnt know its turning, no like there are any yaw sensors in there.

Most engine misses occur under load. I dont see turning being more load then the load placed on the engine during hole-shot.

We are in a river and rpms in a turn are close to 4500. I found the sensor the other guy said and it with give the same problem. It is more like a slip like it is not getting enough gas but other times it is getting to much $50 worth a try.

                        Also slip while surfing?
