    Vibrates at low rpm

    Just put a new prop on the boat this year and I still have a rattle at low rpms. I realize it could be the shaft...but from some initial tests...Im pretty sure its not that. I never had the boat in for the 20hr checkup (long story as to why) and I wonder if the motor could be outta allignment. I checked the 4 big nuts that hold the motor down to the mounts..they are all tight...but I am wondering if there is a procedure to check or resolve this.
    In gear the boat is fine and smooth...just starting to go..say around 5mph...lots of vibration...then past 5mph...all smooth again.
    Ideas? Suggestions?

    you will get a harmonic vibration @ every 1400 rpm. At 2800 its hard to notice. I have seen a thread on here before on this and have noticed the same thing on both of my Marine Power engines that I have owned.

      Is this just a Tige thing? My buddys malibu doesnt seem to do it.
      Of course....he payed twice as much for his boat. Does paying 80K get you a non-vibrating boat? (joking of course)

        Nah, it's a GM 5.7L V8 thing. Because the crank has 4 rod journals (instead of 8) you dont have a cylinder firing at equal degrees on each revolution. The newer engines have a rod journal for each rod, so you have a cylinder firing every 45*. The flimsy hull on the Bu absorbs the vibration

          Hmmm...that must also be why my wake for wakesurf is better.

                06 is the last year Tige made the 22V. If your boat was made in 07 it was a Ve.

                  No. It's a V. Not VE. I ordered the boat in spring but didn't get it till the end of October. (which if u live in Michigan... That's end of season). Well after the dealer jacked me around for months, tige turned around and said we will just give you a 07 (cause I was buying a new boat remember). I'm thinking... Sweet, what a deal. But low and behold, they give me a literal 06 with a stamped 07 hull tag and when I question them about not even selling 22v's as 07, the rep told me they still do but only as "special" occasions. So I guess I'm special. The only person with an 07 22v 06 boat.
                  I'm really bitter about the whole deal, and there is more to the story. I can say the dealer isn't selling tige's anymore, but nun-the-less, it will be the last tige I buy. (this is my second one). I do love the boat, and this forum is absolutely awesome, but I still to this day am so jacked I missed a summer of riding. But hey! My 06 22v has a 07 tag, so who am I to whine???
