    Sorry for late response, dealing with removing a commercial boat off an east end beach at Catalina Island. Fun stuff.

    The shaft should line up relatively close to center after final torque but it's not absolutely imperative it's centered as most are not due to strut installation techniques, as long as it's clearanced from the hull it's generally acceptable for service. Centering the shaft creates a perfect seal with the shaft seal and its bellows connection to the stern tube. We will dry fit, mark, final install and snug strut hardware installing the shaft again and checking stern tube alignment. Keep in mind you can move the shaft quite a bit orbitally with the strut in place but it's imperative there are no binding issues turning the shaft by hand prior to connecting to the v-drive or transmission, that would mean strut alignment was incredibly out of tolerance.

    4200 is plenty good for any underwater application, 5200 is Ludicrous speed and absolutely unnecessary for 99% of below waterline applications. The fast cure type allows for service within 24 hours, the regular dry time is a week.
    Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
