    Engine Problems

I have a 2000 Tige 350 Mercruiser fuel injection. Boat runs great till we shut it off to swim and then on restart it acts like it’s starved for fuel. Replaced the fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel filter and fuel line coming from the tank. Still have the same problem. What kind of electrical problem or anything else could be causing this. I had thought is was fuel problem but try to restart it you can smell the fuel. Take it home, get it out the next day and hook a water hose up to it starts right up. Thanks for any help!!!

Sounds like vapor lock, have you tried to leave the engine cover open/run the blower for a bit when stopped for a while.

Where is the fuel pressure regulator? On the rail I assume. That year would be before the rubber was ethanol safe and maybe has weakened.
