How fast do you want to go? I can't speak to the top end specifics of your boat but I dropped to a 13.75 pitch prop and loved the change and can still run slalom speeds. I've considered dropping the pitch even more as the improvements were so great on what we do 99% of the time.

You’ll still be able to hit to hit 35 but your RPMs will be topped out. I cruise with my RPMs at 3k and get about 25mph.
The 1235 is a great blend of hole shot and top end with emphasis on hole shot. It’s a massive improvement over the 537 if you’re planning on hauling any kind of weight and want the boat to plane out quickly.

I too rarely run at the top end. My boats GPS verified top end is 41-43mph depending on conditions with a few people. I ask to get an idea how cruising speed might be affected too. I hate to drop the top end under 40 because I like to cruise around 30. With that being said, I do find myself cruising at lower speeds with my Tige than I did with my Regal.
Regarding BCRider's results, that i could definitely live with for the improvements the 1235 would offer.
Sometimes I find myself needing to get from one end of the lake to the other, at those times speed is something to at least consider.

BCRider, does your boat have the same hull design and powerplant as the 2008 22ve?
